County Clerk
The Office of the County Clerk is duty-bound by Wisconsin Statutes and as otherwise directed by the needs of the County Board and the public to provide administrative and clerical services to the Board, to the Public, to other County Departments, and to other units of Government. The County Clerk’s Office is responsible for disseminating information on general government, elections, marriage licenses. We are dedicated to providing the best service to the public.
Major functions of the County Clerk’s Office are marriage licenses, voter registration, and passport application services. The County Clerk’s Office also provides administrative and clerical services to the County Board, other County Departments, and other units of Government. The County Clerk is also the Chief Election Officer of the County, and administers elections for county offices and provides declaration of candidacy, campaign registration, and nomination papers to candidates.
