What is VINE?
VINE is a free, 24-hour service that allows you to check on the status of offenders in the custody of the Wisconsin County Jail System. You may register for automated notification when an offender’s custody status changes or is released.

Release date for Inmate on Probation Hold
They have no release date until their probation agent sends a cancellation of the hold. The jail has no advance knowledge. Refer all questions to their probation agent. The local probation office phone number is (920) 683-4590.
On Hold from another County
This means that we are holding the inmate for another agency. They are held here until that agency comes to pick them up for transport to their facility. Contact the agency picking up for more details.
Can I drop off Items for the Inmate?
You may drop off (non-expired) prescription medications in the original bottles only, no narcotics. You can also drop off glasses with soft case, contacts, and dentures. Clothing may be dropped off for an inmate that has a jury trial. Clothing should be dropped off the week prior to the trial.
Can I get married while in custody at the Manitowoc County Jail?
Weddings may be allowed while a person is incarcerated in the Manitowoc County Jail when the proper requirements are met. It is the significant others and inmates responsibility to get all the paperwork turned into the County Clerk and schedule the marriage with the Courts. Contact the County Clerk at (920)683-4003 to learn what is needed to get married.
DNA Collection, Fingerprints & Pictures
Court ordered DNA, fingerprints and pictures are taken:
Wednesday between 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM
Saturday between 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Sunday between 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
If you are needing fingerprints for other personal reason, you must provide the print card. They will be completed during the above times as well.
PRISON RAPE ELIMINATION ACT – PREA
The Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) is a Federal law established to address the prevention, investigation, and documentation of sexual assaults and harassment in correctional systems. PREA requires the Manitowoc County Jail to ensure that sexual abuse and harassment are reported immediately and accurately. Manitowoc County will have a ZERO TOLERANCE for sexual abuse and harassment. We will respond appropriately to every allegation of sexual misconduct. All allegations will be investigated and substantiated incidents will be subject to the disciplinary process and the Wisconsin Legal System if appropriate.
