Weight Limits

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
With the early thaw and possible refreeze later in the month, Manitowoc County Highway has decided to NOT post any weight limits on our county trunks this year. Many of these roads posted in the past will be replaced this summer. Many of the Counties in our region no longer post county roads. From past experiences these weight limits are hard to enforce and push traffic onto the Town roads which are not built as well. I still encourage Towns to post as necessary to keep loads on the County and State. We will continue to monitor all of these sections moving forward and post them as needed.
