You may qualify if:

-You live in Wisconsin
-You are pregnant, breastfeeding or had a baby in the past 6 months
-You have an infant or children under the age of 5
-Your household income meets the WIC income guidelines. 

Fathers, grandparents, foster parents and other eligible caregivers can apply for WIC for children 5 years and under.

Please be prepared to answer questions regarding household income and provide any needed documents or information before your first appointment.

-Nutrition and breastfeeding support
-Information on WIC foods and how to shop for them
-Receive an eWIC card to access food benefits  (first appointment)
-Recommendations on other community resources that may benefit your family

– Fruits and vegetables
– 100% Juice
– Beans, peas, lentils and peanut butter
– Cereal
– Whole-grain breads, tortillas, brown rice and pasta
– Milk, yogurt and cheese
– Eggs and tofu
– Some infant formula, if needed
– Baby foods
– Canned fish (only for breastfeeding women whose infants are not receiving formula from WIC)

Exclusively breastfeeding mothers and their babies receive extra food benefits.

The Wisconsin MyWIC app has an updated list of stores who sell WIC approved foods. Store locations are also listed on the WIC Shopping Guide provided at your first appointment.
