Jail
Manitowoc County Jail is committed to maintaining the public’s trust and safety by effectively managing those who are incarcerated in our facility. The Jail is in compliance with standards set forth by the U.S. Constitution, State Statutes, Administrative Codes, and the Manitowoc County Policy & Procedure’s.
We strive to help offenders cope with their incarceration and return the offenders back into the community better equipped to make positive choices as contributing members of our society.
We accomplish this by offering education, treatment and restorative opportunities as well as providing for their medical care and nutritional needs. The Jail corrects poor behavior through a structured jail environment and classification system. We vow to provide these services while treating everyone with dignity and respect, no matter the provocation or reason for incarceration.
It is the ethical and legal obligation of the Manitowoc County Jail to continually train our professional staff to create a safe and secure environment for the employees, the incarcerated, and the community.
We envision a safer community by providing re-entry programs through partnerships with other agencies and organizations upon release.
