Aging & Disability Advocacy Day

Flyer for Aging & Disability Advocacy Day hosted by the ADRC of the Lakeshore. The event will feature legislators and representatives discussing dementia training regulations for long-term care providers and reinstatement of Department of Workforce Development, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation funding to eliminate waitlists. The event is September 24, 2026, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. in the Manitowoc County Board Room at 1701 Michigan Ave., Manitowoc. Only pre-submitted questions will be considered. Questions or stories may be submitted to Tehya Kramper by September 23 at tehyakramper@manitowoccountywi.gov or through Facebook. The flyer includes a photo of the Wisconsin State Capitol.

We will be discussing two very important topics to the Aging and Disability communities, and would love your questions and stories regarding Dementia Training for Long-Term Care Providers and DVR funding. This advocacy day will feature a chance to hear from your local representatives – County Executive Tyler Martell, Wisconsin State Representative Paul Tittl, and Representative Lindee Brill – as well as learn more about self-advocacy and how to advocate effectively.
