What Do I Do With Aerosol Cans?
Non-Hazardous Aerosol Cans
Empty aerosol cans that once contained a non-hazardous product may be recycled in your curbside collection or at a drop off site. This includes products like whipped cream, shaving cream, cooking spray, and hair spray. If there is still product in them they can go in your trash.
Hazardous Aerosol Cans
Aerosol cans that contained a hazardous product should be taken to a hazardous waste disposal site or event. Hazardous products include oil-based paint, WD-40, solvents, or pesticide. If they are empty they can be disposed of in your trash.
