Brown County Option
For 2026 Manitowoc County is expanding the Clean Sweep Program to include a partnership with the Brown County Hazardous Material Recovery Facility. This will allow Manitowoc County Residents to dispose of acceptable household hazardous waste items, for free, at the Brown County Facility year-round during designated days and times. This partnership is meant to compliment the local Clean Sweep event. People who cannot wait for the event now have a free means of disposal if they are willing to drive to Green Bay, a trip which is easily combined with other out of town errands. People who are not willing to make the drive still have the option of the one-day event. We anticipate that this will help lower the attendance numbers and volume of material that the event has to process, which should mean shorter and quicker lines.
