Under the Affordable Care Act, each individual must have minimum essential health coverage for each month in order to avoid the penalty for not having insurance.

If you don’t qualify for BadgerCare, Health insurance can be purchased through the Health Insurance Marketplace or by calling 1-800-318-2596 or TTY: 1-855-889-4325.
Family Planning Only Services and the Wisconsin Well Women Program are limited health insurance plans that are available for eligible individuals however; the plans do NOT meet the minimum essential health care coverage standard under the Affordable Care Act.
